CHICAGO -- Mae Kaplan Nabedrick died Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, in Chicago.

Private services have been held.

She was a long time resident of Muscatine. She and her late husband, Israel, were in the coal and real estate business for a number of years. They also were strong supporters of Muscatine's Jewish Community.

Survivors include her children, Linda Lipman and husband, Jerry, Marsha Brown and husband, Hal, Meraly Brown and Susan Tenenbaum and husband, Sam; grandchildren, llayne Etkind and husband, Steven, Ronald Padzensky and wife, Debby, and Daniel Padzensky and wife, Crystal, Allison and Gardner Humphries, Stacey and Marni Brown, Amy and Julia Gordon, Debra, Andrew, Natalie and Josh Brown, Ben Tenenbaum, Rachel Hesser and husband, Mat, and Ross Lipman and wife, Charlotte; great-grandchildren, Jamie and Josh Etkind, Eliot, Miles and Jordyn Padzensky, Megan Hesser and Ishmael Lipman; siblings, Betty Schulman, Martin Kaplan and wife, Florence, and Dorothy Harris; sister-in-law, Molly Kaplan; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, David Kaplan; two brothers-in-law, Samuel Schulman and Herb Harris
