My great-grandparents, Meyer Kaplan and Sarah Melachson were born in Odessa, Russia, about 1880. They came to US in 1906/1907 and lived in Manhattan and then the Bronx. Their children were: Fanny (my grandmother), Bennie, Irene (Ida) and Annie (Honey). Meyer and Sarah were first cousins. My grandmother was the only one born in Russia, the rest were born in NY.
