Thank you John. I too have wondered at the dates no corresponding. I know it is not impossible for a woman to have children after the age of 40, but to continue to have them till she is 60???
And the letter that a descendat had says that "Grandma died Feb 7, 1860 at almost 100 years old". But her info in Gloucester County Historical Society has her age as 78 when she died. Now this could be a misprint and should be 98 or 99. Whoever read the original info might have read it wrong. I will have to check further on this. I spoke with them this afternoon.
But if you are right then we have an even greater problem. Now we are looking for "4" couples and not 2. Quite a problem.
What makes this problem even more difficult is that there is no census for Gloucester County for 1800, 1810, & 1820. I did find Peter in Taxables before 1800. I enquired about after 1800 and found that they are only good in Deptford Twp til 1802. Now if you are right then hopefully there will be 2 Cavis families living there. Unless the son is living with his parents.
We plan on a trip to NJ this summer and hopefully we can get some answers.
