I found two Kappler family photos at an antique store (Cordelia Junction antiques) in Cordelia CA.
The first photo is of a couple (senior citzens). The picture was pasted on to a post card. The names "Amelia Kappler" and "Grandpa Kappler" are listed on the back. The photo was taken on Aug. 16 1909.
The second photo of nine adults and a young girl with blond curls about 8 yrs old. They are all dressed in victorian style. The back of the picture simply states "Kappler family". Perhaps this photo and the first photo were taken at the same time?
The people in both photos are most likely are related because of the resemblance.
________
There was also third photo that I didn't purchase. This photo is of a 85 year old woman. The back of the photo is a letter which I copied.
Dear Emil Frances Kappler Children,
I was born in France in on May 6, 1847. I am 85 years old and today is 12/29/1932.
From your loving Mother,
Florentine Kappler.
________
I will e-mail the scanned photos to anyone interested.
I will send the original photos for free to anyone who can show kinship to these people.
