Left you a site on Galicia on Austria's board.
To find the village Tartakiv use
http://lazarus.elte.hu/hun/digkonyv/topo/3felmeres.htm
or www.jewishgen.org/ShtetlSeeker/loctown.htm
http://maxpages.com/poland
www.kresy.co.uk/galicja.html
www.surnamenavigator.org
http://genforum.com
I have not come across a Slavic name Tacyjuana in my travels on the boards. I would say it is a transcribing error or that is how an English speaking/American ear heard the name.
KAPUSTA is a Slavic word for cabbage.
Use One step/ gray form www.stevemorse.org to locate people from a particular village of interest. From Tartakow 132 people and among them a KAPUSTA Jan (John).
