Please reply any info on Esther Victoria Andrews that you may have. My grandfather's name was Alexander Andrews. He died 3/16/61. He and Emma lived in Solina, Kansas and I think she died 8/29/1909. Her nickname was Tilly. She raised the 2 girls and 4 boys after my grandmother died. She died when my father was around 16 months old. The kids names were Anna, William, Walter, Clarence, Victor (my dad) and the other sister we never knew much about. We knew she was married and lived in Calif. All I can remember about Tilly is she spoke little English. Mostly Swedish. Grandpa spoke both. She ate most of her food with a knife. She must have been a wonderful woman. She put up with my grandfather and raised all of those kids and did a great job.

Do you have any pictures of Emma? I have one of her and our family when we visited them one summer in Kansas but it is very hard to really see their faces. Please let me know if any of this sounds familar. Sorry I do not have any info on Hjalmer Karinen. Also, if you have a picture of Esther, I would be very interested. The family looked like Grandpa Andrews very much. I do not remember seeing any pictures of Grandpa's first wife who gave birth to the 6 Andrews'.
