Not all fits but I have searched the records for ten years and there are two Theodores from my line c1850s. One is the son of Peter Carls (b. c1822) who immigrated in 1854 thru NY and to Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin. This Theodore was just a toddler when they crossed the Atlantic and his older brother, Nicolas, was about 3 or 4 years old. Peter's wife & Theodore's mother was Maria Catherine Zimmer. I think this Theodore married a Gertrude Franzen, or the one below did.

The other Theodore was Peter's younger brother who immigrated a few years after Peter, as did another younger brother of Peter's, Christopher.

I have info on my line going back at least two generations before immigration. I believe the Anton Carls in the FDL area c1840s is probably related, as this is where Peter directly went after getting to the US.
