Around 1850-1870 on a map of Westmoreland County I find a Mrs. McKarnes listed...and living near by is Mrs. Hoy.
The Hoy family had sisters who married Kernes.... earlier --
Barnabas (Barney) Kerns married Mary Hoy and is in the 1810 census, but Barney must be dead the 1830.
Frances Kerns married Elizabeth Hoy about the same time period.
Seeing the name Karns, McKarns so near by, made me wonder if this might be the Kerns that I'm looking for.
