Kathryn Nehrebecki Kaschak, 87,
passed away Monday, August 1, 2011
She was born in Donora, Pa. on February 14, 1924,
daughter of the late John and Louise Novak. Kathryn was employed at California State College, California, Pa. as a Library Assistant. Following retirement, she moved to Erie in 1985. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting and giving her creations as gifts. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Kaschak;
two sisters, Mary Videlka and Josephine Murphy;
and one brother, Stanley Novak.
She is survived by three children, Kamille Morgan (John) of Hudson, Maine, Jason Nehrebecki of Greenfield Twp., and Michael Nehrebecki (Vicki) of Greene Twp.; one sister, Louise Connelly, of Belle Vernon, Pa.; one step-daughter, Ruth Crosby, of Erie; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Friday at 11 a.m. Interment, Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
