Does anyone have any information on Vesper Taylor who married ? Kasinger. She was born 1872 in Missouri, in 1880 she was in Bollinger County with her parents. In 1900 she was widowed with children, living with her father BJ or Burl?, in Arkansas.
Curious who she married, whether she ever remarried, and what happened to her parents.

Yes. The Mingo tribe were sometimes referred to as the Ohio Seneca's. They were actually Ohio Iroquois from Central Ohio. The Ohio Historical Society has a lot of information on them. They were a small tribe and later mixed with the Miami's in hopes of over throwing the Whiteman moving so rapidly into the midwest.

Arena "Arrainy" Kasinger was my gggrandmother. Some say she was full blood Cherokee but according to others, her mother was a full blood MINGO by the name of Morning Dove and her father was English.
According to the latest records, it seems that Arena was married to a man by the name of John Vinson, in Jefferson County, Iowa. He died at an early age. They had two daughters, America and Nancy Jane. Her father, Saul Harding took the children and raised them. She supposedly ran away with James Kasinger, and later on named my ggrandmother after her first daughter. Others say that Arena Vinson and Arena Harding were two different people and that Arena Vinson is buried in an unmarked grave in Jefferson County. Yet they can't produce any evidence showing that a death, grave or burial ever took place. The Kasinger/Kessinger's live in the same area. Several other pieces of evidence points to Arena Vinson being Arena Harding as well. We may never know for certain, but I am inclined to believe they are one and the same.

Hi: I believe I spoke to a family member of yours when I saw an obituary in the Modesto Bee. I think we are related because Tommie Jasper Kasinger is a family name. I live near you. My ggrandfather's name was Thomas "Grey Tom" Kasinger and I believe he lived in or around Gainesville MO. He was married twice to sisters and I am from the second union. His daughter was Mary Jane Kasinger Qualls and she was my grandmother. Please contact me and maybe we can figure it out.

My great grandmother was viola kaisinger/reiner. She lived in Pineville,PA (bucks county) till she was about 86 I believe. She had 2 daughters, Janice and Joan. If you want more information about her, please Email me and i can let you know.

How far back do you have in the Kaisinger family. I have as far as Philip Kaisinger. I have not been able to find anything else. I have a great deal of information on his wife, Barbara Fretz. I found the Fretz Family History book, which was published in the late 1800's, in my attic. If you have any info, please let me know.( My line is Viola Kaisinger Reiner, Samuel Kaisinger jr, Samuel Kaisinger etc..)

I would appreciate info about a Lucinda Kasinger who might have married Samuel C Graves (b. 1853 Mo) I don't know when nor where, if it was a first marriage or second. Samuel C Graves was son of James Graves born 1819 NC. and died @ 1900 Baxter Co Arkansas
Samuel C Graves had son George Washington Graves born July 23 1870 and died Nov 8 1950 in Morris Ok.

Which Kasinger does this Lucinda belong to ? ( There are SO many Lucinda's)

I am a direct descendent of Andreas Kessinger which entered the United states in year 1737,landing in Philadelphia.Family subsequently departed Pennslyvania floating down the Ohio River to Louisville Kentucky on rafts.
Family eventually settled in Hart County Kentucky..
Would be happy to receive any info you can shed on Kessinger Family heritage.

Hi Nadine: Yes, we are related. It gets so confusing though. I think there was maybe two Tom or Thomas Kasingers. My ggrandfather was Tom or Thomas "Grey Tom" Kasinger and he played the fiddle. I will try and look any and all information and send what I can to you. I know there is an America Biggers Kasinger and that she is full-blooded Cherokee. Grey Tom married once and she died and then he married her sister. The name that comes to mind is Clementine and I can't remember the other name. Grey Tom's daughter is Mary Jane Kasinger (Ingram-he died) Qualls and she is my grandmother. She died very young (53) with cancer in Modesto California where she is buried. I believe she was born in Gainesville MO and then moved to OK around Kinta where she married my grandfather John Franklin Qualls. Does any of this ring a bell.
