Alwine HERMAN and Gustav KASUCHKE m. 1887

Just grasping at straws. This board is the closest I could find to the groom's name. I have a marriage certificate for Gustav and Alwine which I would be delighted to send to a descendent of either family for just postage cost. It is illuminated and in very good condition. Contact at rwayer@tucker-usa.com and mention Kasuchke in subject.

Robert:

I saw your message to Peter Kasischke posted on the Internet. Like you, I have traced my ancestry to Martin and Carolyn, nee Gersonde, Kasischke. This leads me to believe that you are an offspring of my cousin Bob and his wife Ruth Ann.

I wanted to express my condolences to Ruth Ann when I learned of Bob's death, but did not have an address or phone number. I lost track of Bob & Ruth Ann after they moved to Arizona and I departed to Texas, Hawaii & now Mercer Island, Washington.

If I made the correct assumption regarding your ancestry, I would appreciate an update on your mother's (grandmother's?) whereabouts, phone number or e-mail.

My Grandfather was Otto Manthie b. 1886. On his marriage licence to my grandmother, Emma Allen, he stated that he was born in Germany and that his mothers maiden name was Minnie Kasichke and she was also born in Germany. I also have a death certificate of Mrs Minnie Smerling, and on this certificate it is stated by Mary Manthie that the name of Minnie smerling's father was Kasischke and the maiden name of her mother was Stelo both born in Germany, as was Minnie. All of this took place in winnebago co. Wisconsin. One of Minnies husbands would have been John Manthy, born in Germany, the father of my grandfather. I also have some cemetary records from Burdick Cemetery, Rushford Township, Winnebago Co. that states the names of Minnie Kasichke and of a Minnie Smerling. I just cant figure out who is who. Thankyou for any info that you might be able to give me. Alta Machado
