I may have some information for you regarding Frank Kaspar.
He may have been the brother of my grandfather, Josef Kaspar.
I have done a genealogy on the family and have the following:
Frank Kaspar may have been born in Smecice or Korkorov, Bohemia in about 1858 or so. I have my grandfather's birth certificates so perhaps they were both born in the same village.
Frank Kaspar had a wife named Mary. I don't know about the business in Blue Island, however, when the family came to the US they were sponsored by a Zabran family in Blue Island. Could be a coincidence or not.

Frank was a renowned clarinet mouthpiece maker and worked for some time in the Chicago and Cicero area, later moving to Ann Arbor, Mich to work with the U of M. band.

He would have been my mothers' uncle. My mother was Mary Kaspar. If this sounds like it could be the same family I would be deligted to hear from you. Camille Smith
