Hi there,
I don't know if you have had any luck tracking this ancestor down.
I recently had some success--I thought I'd share it with you.
My great grandmother Katie, was born Katarzyna Kasperska in the town of Stratyn Ukraine (formerly the Austrian-Hungarian Empire).
I am pretty sure the name Kasperski is traditionally Ukranian?.
She came over with her father (whose name was reversed and transcribed incorrectly-part of the problem).
Maybe that helps you.
Family lore says Katie had a sister and brother, but I don't know what happened to them.

I have a Josephine (Jozefa) Kasperska, my ggrandmother, born abt 1867 in Germany or Poland. She came and settled in Philadelphia. I haven't found any immigration record yet, but only did limited searches on the internet. On the records I do have, some list Kasperska, some list Kasper. Some records say she was born in Germany, some say Poland. I know at that time, many changed the name and didn't let there kids speak anything but English to blend in and they hid the fact they were from Germany. The family story passed down to us, was my ggrandfather (also German) escaped from the Kaiser. So try looking for her under Kasper too, it's probably German or Poland.

Katie married John W. Grau in 1907 in Manhattan.
They moved to Williamsburgh Brooklyn and had a family of 4 girls.
I am trying to trace Katie back to her country and town of origin.
I cannot find any immigration paperwork for her.
Any help would be appreciated

Sorry, I cant help you with this members of the Kasperskis.
Do you know, where did they come from? Is there a grandfather who was coming from Germany long long ago?

My father-in-laws father was George Kasperski and Mary Perez they owned a bar in Bay City Michigan early 1900. They had nine children do you know any connection?

My g-grandfather George Kasperski owned a bar in Bay City in the early 1900 he was married to Mary Perez she died in 1959 They had 9 children Stanley Ted Steve Amelia Helen Blanche Margaret Geneive Irene. Do you have any info on this family?

I have a grandgrandfather Albert Kasperski who married with wife Kruppa, but I dont know anymore about Kruppa. Theire childrens are:
1. Albert Kasperski -born 1886 in Kammerau, Kr. Wartenberg (Schlesien), died 1922 in Bitterfeld (?), married with Emma Brömme
2. August Kasperski (born 1884)
3. Herrmann Kasperski
4. Franz Kasperski
5. Paul Kasperski
6. Karl Kasperski

Our family is also named Kasperski. My grandgrandfather Albert Kasperski came from Schlesien (lived in Kammerau, Kreis Wartenberg).
We live in Bitterfeld and Halle nearby Leipzig in Germany.

My great grandmother was Franciszka Kasperski, daughter
of Wawizyn Kasperski and Margozatta Kaczmarek of Poland
Franciszka was married to Andrew Lukowski and had four
