All that I have been able to find out so far is that the name changed from Kassner to casner at some time.
My John was born in Adams Mills, Muskingum Co., Ohio in 1809. Died 5 July 1859. Married to Matilda Tilton in Clark Co., Oh 4 July 1833. He was a blacksmith in Coshocton Co., OH, which was along the canal route through Muskingum and Coshocton Co., Oh.
His father was also John and was married to a Susannah and that they came from Penn. Don't know where.
John and Matilda had 9 children:
Roseanna; Catherine; Nathan; Susan; J Q Adams; Richard; Daniel; Andrew; and Spencer.
Spencer is my line.
Andrew , Daniel and Richard all died during the Civil War having never married.
