Marjorie Kato was a student at Kern Union High School (now Bakersfield High) in Bakersfield, California in 1942 before being shipped to an Internee camp ( Poston, AR). She never recieved her diploma.

The BHS class of 2003 plans to award honorary diplomas this Spring to former internees and WWII veterans who didn't graduate. The Senior Research Class is attempting to locate these people.
