Yes, I do still have the piece of paper. I drive past Wayne on Rt 80 daily, so I can drop it off. I'd prefer not to mail it since it is so old. Would just need a location to drop it off. Contact me offsite @yahoo.com with above id to let me know an address to meet.

Alfred was my uncle. He passed away a few years ago. His family is now in Wayne, NJ. If you still have this list, I could pass it on to my cousins.

Actually I am from the Cincinnati Ohio area. My name is Clint Kattine. I am going to ask my grandparents and other relatives if they've ever heard of Alfred Kattine. Nothing like a mystery! I've only ever heard of my last name around this area.
Any information you could share would be great! I'll be sure to let you know if I find anything out. I would still love to see the note you found!
Thanks,
Clint

I think there might still be this surname in the northern NJ area. Are you in NJ? Let me know if this is your relative and I'll be happy to scan the paper to email it to you.

Alfred KATTINE

While working in PS#7 in Paterson, NJ, one of my students found an old piece of paper wedged in the closet. It looks like a spelling word list written by Alfred KATTINE(sp?). The date on the paper is 3/14/1941 and he was in the 5th grade. If anyone is related to this person, I will gladly forward the paper - very cool to see his handwriting.
