Casper Katzenberger Sr. (b1821-d1879) came from Saxony, Germany in 1847. May have come with a brother named Frederick. Casper settled in Schuyler County Illinois.

Death of Walter E.Katzen-Berger in Cost Rica

Anyone interested in a copy of the U.S. Department of State's "Report of the Death of an American Citizen" for Mr. Walter E. Katzen-Berger, please contact me so I can conduct research to locate the record. Mr. Katzen-Berger died in Costa Rica on December 10, 1946.

as a child, she was born March 18th 1894. She had a Daughter named Terry
who had a daughter named Elisabeth(spelled elzabeth in the letters).

I am looking for a Sarah Ellen Katzenberger or Katzenbarger, born May 21, 1855 in Union County, Iowa (possibly Creston, Iowa). She married Wheeler Logan Embree in Creston, Iowa on May 2, 1878. She died in Sioux City, Iowa on Oct. 21, 1946.
Her parents were James and Elizabeth Adair Katzenberger or Katzenbarger.

I am searching for info on John Katzenberger and wife Magadelena Weireter. They would of been married approx. 1875. I do not know a location for these two. They had these children: Henry George Katzenberger m. Marie Olive Pummill(they were married and lived in Indianapolis IN), John W., Margaret, Arthur. They resided on the westside of Manhattan, New York City, NY until at least 1902. After the death of Minnie in 1902 they seemed to have disappeared. His occupation was listed as a plumber. I have not been able to find any Federal Census info after 1902 nor any Death Certificates for these people and believe that they may have moved out of NYC.

My grandparents were Henry George Katzenberger and Marie Olive Pummill. John and Magadelena were Henrys parents. Henry was b. 21March1885 and d. 14 Oct 1937. marie was b. 23 June 1893, d. 14Dec 1975. They both are buried in Washington Park Cem. in Indianapolis as are several of the children if John and Magdelena. Henry and Marie had three sons. George Ainsworth b. 12 May 1914 d. 1963--Robert Henry ( my father) b. 10 July 1919 d. 28 Aug 1994--- Donald Edwin b. 29 Oct 1927. Donald still lives in Indianapolis. All three boys grew up on Dearborn St. in Indianapolis. Will EMail pictures but adress would not work. Please send us more info as I think we are hot on the trail!!
