I am looking for descendants of John B. and Mary (Wallace) Kaup. Their known children were Alfred (possibly William Alfred or Alfred William), Edward (possibly James Edward or Edward James), and Sarah M. In the 1880 Census for Carroll County, Indiana, it shows Alfred as being born in Missouri. The other two children were born in Indiana. Mary (Wallace) Kaup was born in Miami County, Ohio, and moved with her parents and other siblings to Carroll County, Indiana. She was the oldest of the family. Her youngest brother James was my g-g-grandfather. Mary and John B. Kaup were married in Carroll County, Indiana. It looks as though after they were married that they lived in Missouri for a time, then moved back to Indiana. After 1880, I am not able to find them in Indiana. I may have found a lead that shows that they were back in Missouri, possibly Chariton County, but I am not sure.
