I am trying to find some information on my great grandmother- Sarah Keady -she was born in ireland in 1889 . I believe she came to Boston and later married in Maine around 1910. She died in Maine in 1934.

Moses Keady born c 1730 is the name of my husband's g-g-g-g grandfather. The name has morphed from Kincaid to Keady, Kady, Kedey, or as my husband's grandmother spelled her last name, Kadey. We almost called our daughter "Kadey" but chose Katie instead.
"Our" Moses had a son who died in Quebec, Canada in 1832. My husband has more Kadey info if it might help.

Hi,

I'm about to begin what looks to be a pretty big task of at least tracing my name back a few generations, and I'd like to start with this:

My family has always pronounced it with a hard 'a' so that it sounds like "Kay-dee". Is this the universal pronounciation? Or do some pronounce it "Kee-dee" (everyone always trys... Lord only knows how many times I've said "No, Kay-dee")

BTW: I'm in Oregon, the son of Todd and Pam, Todd the son of Robert and Verlee. If you run accross the name Verlee in any of your records, email me if you could (long shot, I know) because you may have done a lot of my work for me ;-)

Does anyone have any info on this Patrick Keady (b. 05 Oct 1865 in Western District Galway Ireland ?) Or any information on his parents: Patrick Keady and Ellen Geoghagan b. about 1840 in Ireland and d.12-23-1913 at 73 yrs in Winchester, Massachusetts? Ellen's parents are listed as Thomas Kady and Bridget Foley; although I suspect that her father is a Thomas Geoghagan and the Kady was possibly a mistake on Ellen's death certificate.

Our keady ancestry goes back to ireland..william keady came to canada..williamstown canada..named
after him..then family resided in boston..where great grandfather
mortgaged houses for other irish.immigrants.
lived in braintree, newton..etc. aunt eleanor has more details.
robert seemed to be the names of most past men. one robert,
ken, macglauglin of nashue new hamphsire direct descendant
from robert keady. robert keady had 3 girls, now leydon,
clark, gaffney..his brother ken had 3 boys, ken, robert..james?
all of nashua..traces, back many generations, involves martins.

Trying to find info on parents/siblings of Margaret Keady of Spiddal,Co Galway Ireland.Margaret(born 1879) emmigrated to Newton Mass,US about 1902.Bridget came some time before that.Margaret married John McKenna in Newton Mass about 1908.I only know one other siblings name.Ellen/ Helen stayed in Spiddal.Mother's name may have been Margaret Thorton/Thowton.Father may have been John/Joseph Keady.

Does anyone have info on a Patrick Keady (Cady) and Ellen Gagne (also referred as Helen). They are from Ireland. Had 2 children: Sarah T. Cady b abt 1861 in Ireland and Patrick Cady b. 1866 in Ireland.

Ellen and her two children Sarah and Patrick later went to Boston, Mass. From there they settled in Winchester, Mass. I do not know if their father Patrick also went to Boston.

Any insight appreciated!

I am a descendant of the Michael Keady/Ellen Clancy family (married Feb 8, 1869 )of County Galway. Their son Patrick was my grandfather and came to the U.S. in late 1800 and married Delia Deal also from County Galway in the U.S.The 1901 Irish Census shows 5 Keady families living in the town of Knockanerany. These families were my greatgrand parents 1)Michael and Ellen, 2)James Keady, his wife Bridget and children Mary,Patrick, Martin and Rose, 3)another Michael Keady, his wife Margaret and children John, Maria, Ellen, Martin, Margaret and Mary,4) Patrick, his wife Mary and children James, Maria, Delia, Maggie and Maria, and finally 5)another Michael and his children Michael, James, Winnie and Mary. I am interested in locating modern day decendents of these familes who still live in County Galway.

Looking for siblings and or parents to the above Patrick Keady who was born and married in Ireland. He had two children that I am aware of Sara born about 1861 in Ireland and Patrick born 1866 in Ireland. They came to the USA name changed from Keady to Cady. Sara married William Halloren/Halloran and they had two children Hannah born in South Boston, Mass.in 1884 and Edward born in Winchester, Mass.in 1888 Edward died at 16 years old.
