Hello, my name is Tamhara Thompson and I am the great great granddaughter of Edward Keagle. My great grandparents were Charles and Eva Keagle and my grandparents were Waynard and Elizabeth Keagle. I live in Battle Creek and have been doing research on the Keagle family tree and I have found that all of the Keagles in this area stem from Edward and his siblings. I know that Edward had around 12 to 14 siblings and that continued throughout the siblings having large families. Not too sure on the origin as of yet but still working it. Depending on which Jacob you're referring to, I'm a direct descendant as well - I have Jacob who married Mary and had sons George and Jacob, among others. George also had a son Jacob and a son Issac, among others - which Jacob is yours?

I am interested in making connections with others researching the descendants of this couple. I have traced Minnie McCLISTER's line to Canada c.1858 and farther back to Ireland >1847.

No, I did not marry a charles keagle but my mother's aunt might have. Her name was Patricia Keagle, Her sister was Martha Keagle( my grandmother) married Cecil Claude Perkins had a child named Yvonne Marie Perkins(my mother).

Someone sent me information from the 1860 Pennsylvania census that showed Edward Keagle living in Halifax Twp., Dauphin Co.. It also showed an Amy Keagle living in Halifax Twp. I do not know how they connect to each other--or if this is the Edward you are looking for. I wish there was as much information about the Keagles who stayed in Perry and Dauphin counties as there is for those who moved north to Tioga County and west to Illinois. Mine stayed in Perry Co. and my line is: Frederick Keagle> Jacob Samuel Keagle>Frederick Keagle>John Keagle>Samuel Sherman Keagle (my g-grandfather)>Alice Keagle Learn>Mildred Learn Becker>Judith Becker Offen(me).

I am descended from Solomon Keagle (b. Sept 15, 1821 in Penn - d, Mar 05, 1900 in Calhoun Co, Mich) and Rosanna Stroh (b. May 01, 1830 in Penn - d. May 14, 1912 in Calhoun Co, Mich). They were married Sept 27, 1849 (place unk).

Although some birth dates don't make sense as you count months between children, they are directly out of Clara's Bible which is in my possession. Likewise the locations noted above. I also have an old tin photo of Solomon and Rosanna from sometime around the 1860's and shows them in attire typical of what might be called Protestant Brethern. I do know that Issac and Clara (my GG-parents) met at a UEB icecream social in Burlington, which might track with the earlier attire in the photo.

I have had no luck tracking down the Keagle or Stroh lines in Pennsylvania.

I took this photo among 10,000 others in this cemetery because I am taking pictures of all the tombstones in the cemetery.

I am looking for information on Solomon Keagle and his parents. Solomon was born 1822 in Pennsylvania. I did see his name listed once as "A. Solomon Keagle" He spent most of his life in Michigan and had 15 (?) children. Any information would be great.

Keagles in Pennsylvania

My Keagle ancestors lived in Perry County, Pennsylvania. Some from the family moved to Lycoming County (early to mid 1800's) before the Civil War so you might try either of those counties to look for information about your Keagle ancestor. Others from this family moved from Perry County to Sangamon, IL and other places in the midwest.

These people are my fiance's grandparents. It was a funny thing finding this -- today is his Grandpa's birthday. His Grandma (Virginia) just passed away on March 24th.

We were wondering where you are located and are curious to know why you took pictures of the gravestones?? Also, have you run across Edgar Keagle's gravestone?? He is buried in a cemetary in Ft. Worth somewhere. Thanks.

We have several Keagels from PA. Jakob Samuel Keagle (Kegel) emmigrated from Würtenburg, Germany in 1813. His daughter, Mary married my ggg grandfather John Howard in 1819 in Lycoming Co, PA.

Their son, Henry Keagle Howard carried the name forward.

I am the Grandson of George Keagle, origanally from South Wales UK, and can say for definate that the Keagle name is from Oldenburg in Germany as far as we can work out, It could even be farther East.
