My husbands mother was a Kearnes. Her father was
Powhatan Beverly Kearnes and her mother was Mary Embrey.
There is a Kearnes reunion every year up in Jeffersonton
[west of Warrenton va] Everyone brings their data to add
or change in the scrapbook. It is usually held the first
part of September or October. The library in Warrenton
Va. has tons of info on the Kearnes family.
I have info back to Edward Embrey[Governor Ned] down to
all his children and their families. Robert Calvin
Embrey married Mary Elizabeth Dempsey. One of their
children was Mary Calvin Embrey who married Powhatan
beverly Kearnes. I have info on all 12 of their kids
and their childrens children to the best extent I can
have. I have not been doing research on this family
lately asI have persued other families. Patricia
