ISO information about a KATE KEARNS(this could be an abbreviated form for Kathryn or any of the spellings of that) born someplace in Conneticut circa 1881, town or county unknown, gave birth to Ambrose KEARNS, at St. Ann's Hospital in New York City, on March 29, 1900. Kate stated she could not care for him and he was left with the Sisters of Charity, at the New York Foundling Hospital. At this time ,Kate gave her age as 19, and her birthplace as Conneticut. The father was Patrick Tully, age 27, working as a michinist and also living in New York City, but born in Pennsylvania, possibly in Philadelphia or that area. I received this information from the Foundling Hospital when the records were made available to descendents of Orphan Train riders. I would gratly appreciate any information or assistance on where to expand my search for descendents or ancseters or any family ties to either of these people. Amnrose was my father, he died in 1970without knowing who his birth parents were, so the search is purely for my own information.
