I suddenly remembered that I had an "Auntie Nona" （a sister of my Sullivan grandmother from the Kerry area) in New London who I later discovered was really a "Nora". So now I begin to think that "Nonna" might have been a nickname for Nora (I never saw Nona in written form, only heard of her by that name, so my spelling with just one "n" is my own).
