With the research that you have done on the Keatons from VA/NC has any of them been the following group?
Peter, William, John or Miles Keaton (has also been spelled Caeton) in Rowan/Iredell/Alexander county around 1780 and 1790's? If this is to much research could you tell what town you are in so I can come and do the research. I have gone through the information at the Iredell County Library but cannot seem to get the connection back on these individuals. I also know my husband's grandfather is Doctor Spurgeon Keaton (not really a doctor), great grandfather is Winslow Keaton born in 1853 and his ggreat is Silas Keaton who was born around 1816. Silas was a slave trader and would go to Charleston to trade slaves. I am trying to find the next key that will open more information for our research. Any help would be appreciated.
