Surnames: Keck
William R. Keck(b. abt 1872, d. abt 1948 in TN)was my gr-gr-grandfather. He married Rispy Elizabeth Braden in Union County, TN in 1894. I find him in the 1900, 1910, and 1920 census, but cannot find him before that. I was told, at one point, that his father was Christopher Keck. I found Christopher in the 1880 Claiborne County, TN census, but the child who was about the right age for William was listed as Patten. I have seen William R. referred to as William Patton. Does anyone know if it really is the same person, or is it a mix up? I have lots of info on the Kecks, but would like to confirm that they are MY Kecks. To do this, I need to, first, confirm who William R.'s parents are.
