My name is Tiffany Kee Cutshall. My father was Wilmer Chester Kee, son of William Chester Kee, grandson of Wilson Cagey Kee.

My father has been deceased for 11 years now. I remember him telling me he found a distant cousin in Ireland when he was stationed in Europe during the Korean war.

I am highly interested in trying to find any information on that side of my family. Anyone who has any information please contact me.

I am a distant relative of Francis Scott Key. I think I am a 13th great neice or somewhere in those lines. I was hoping to find out any information on the family. I am also researching my other two lines of family, the McKinneys and I'm not positive on the other name, sadly. But if you have any information on the Keys that would be great!

Robert Roy Kee is my great grandfather, I knew Mary as 'Aunt Mary'. They moved around, but their home base more often then not was Franklin, Georgia. I believe there were 6 children, oldest male being my grandfather Wilbur Kee. Robert didn't fight in WWI, as far as I know because of having flat feet.
He and Lillie are buried in the Kight cemetery at a small church in west Georgia, but I don't have any specific dates on me right now. I have pictures from the cemetery if you need any information and dates.

Our family name is KEES and I know that my grandfather added the (S) for whatever reason. He is the son of Robert KEE and Mary Jane Cascaden of County Donegal. They were married and had 6 children George, Robert, Thomas, Mary, William and Kate and lived Magheracorn which is midway between Stranolar and Convoy, county Donegal. They owned a Grocery and Dry goods store and also farmed. My grandfather is named William George KEE(S) and married a Martha Tait of Newtonstewart, County Tyrone.

I recently discovered that Bella Fife married a Wiliam Kee on 9/16/1914 at a church located at 52nd and Arch in Philadelphia. I cannot prove that this Willima Kee is directly related but I am making the assumption that he is somehow.

I also remember that my father Thomas S. KEES told me that he had acousin in Chicago that was also named Thomas S. KEE but I have not been able to varify that.

There cannot be that many members of the KEE family anywhere in ULSTER and I could not find any in Tyrone. I had a Cousin in Tyrone who indicated that Grandfather KEES was not from yrone but from Donegal.

I do hope that this might be of some interest. I am also aware of the following children :

Oliver B. Kee was my great aunts ( Rose Willis ) second husband.
Rose lived to be 99.
In California O. B. was a very rich man. He seemed to have made his money in banking before coming west.

OB Kee lived in Chandler (then Indian Territory). He built the house I now live in in 1898. I know he was a banker; he was president of one of the local banks and present when it was robbed by the Cook Gang in Chandler in 1895. I found a newspaper article in that said he had moved to Los Angeles and was living there in 1920.
Is he an ancestor and do you know more about him? I might can find more in the local newspaper archives and would be glad to let you know when and if I find more.

I have a John Kee born in 1731 and Henry in 1730. If indeed these are the brothers, they married,

John-1st marriage-Anges Witt& 2nd to Susannah Watts.

I just can't say for certain. Not enough info can be found on these two.

The Key name was changed around the late 1700, when part of the family moved from Va. to S.C.

This line came from Martin Key of New Kent Co. in 1670. According to Gene Key.

Jefferson Davis Kee was my g.g.grandfather and is buried where my parents plan to be buried. My dad's name if also Jefferson Davis Kee. My husband and I are planning on being buried there also.

I think I come from this line. Can you tell me if this Henry Clay Kee had a son named John William Kee, who had kids named Alta and John Hughes? The geneology that someone gave me said that the children of Henry Clay Kee, married to Nancy Elizabeth Keith were John William, Lydia A., Dora A., Joseph Robert, Pearl, Leona, Alice, James Henry, and Clarence. If this is my line, James Henry was also know as 'Elmer', and was my g-grandfather. However, the 1900 census of Jack county that I found said that Henry and Elizabeth had kids John W, Lydia A, Dora A, Robert J, Pearl, Leona, Alice, and DAUGHTER Elma! I am a little confused.

Looking for more information about William and Sarah (nee Dunlop) Kee. Both emigrated from Ireland to Philadelphia, USA 1835 - 1840. William born c. 1816. Sarah born c. 1820. William had brothers Thomas (moved to Iowa), Jeffrey (moved to Wisconsin), and other (name unknown). Sarah had siblings Charles and Isabella. William and Sarah's children were William (b. 1841), Thomas (b. 1843), Margaret (b. 1847), Elizabeth (b. 1851), Matilda (b. 1855), Jeffrey (b. 1852), Mary Ann (b. 1858), and John (b. ?, died as infant). Ok, maybe you can provide some other clues. I have some good information about the Kees.

My g-g-grandfather was William Kee. Family records say that he had three brothers. We know of brothers Thomas and Jefferey but there is no mention of the third brother's name. However, William had four boys William, Thomas, Jeffrey, and John which leads me to be believe the third brother's name may have been John. They were born c. 1810 to 1815 in Ireland (most likely Co. Tyrone).

Please let me know if you can answer any of the following questions about your John.

What was John's wife's name?
What were the name of John's sons, if any?
What was John's occupation?
Do you know if John came through or lived in Philadelphia at any time?
Do you know John's religion?

No the line that came from Francis Scott Key did not change the spelling of their name. The name from that line made it all the way to my grandmother before marriage.
