GEORGE KEEFER born in N.J. in 1773 removed to Thorold, Canada in 1790. He became first president of the Welland Canal. He had four wives one of whom was JANE. He had a son THOMAS COULTON KEEFER so I assume one of his other wives was a COULTON. I am trying to trace the family of DORINDA COLTON who married HENRY SMITH in Chippewa, Canada (near Thorold) in 1820. If GEORGE KEEFER'S wife was a COULTON maybe my DORINDA came from the same family. Any information would be appreciated.
