Keefer great grandparents came in the Oklahoma run

I am trying to gather information about my great grandparents that came to Oklahoma in the run. They were apparently born in Indiana but moved some time to Colorado, and came to Oklahoma by way of
Texas. There names were Henry Clay Keefer and Elizabeth A Morgan. Any information would be appreciated.

Henry Keefer and Mary Snider - Belmont Co., OH and Coshocton Co., OH

Hi:

I am searching for information on Mary Snider. She was born in 1801 in Richland Twp., Belmont Co., OH. She married Henry Keefer in 1820 in Belmont Co., OH. Henry's father was Samuel Casper Keefer and his mother was Mary Ann Altvater.

In the 1820 census I find Henry Keffer in Smith Twp., Belmont Co., OH. In 1830 I find Henry Keffer in Perry Twp., Coshocton Co., OH. He is under 30, she is 20-30 with one female child under 5. In the 1840 census in Perry Twp., Coshocton Co., OH I find Henry Keefer age 40-50 but no wife.

I am assuming Mary died in Coshocton Co but I don't know where or when.

If anyone can assist me with info on Mary or Henry I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks...

I have found this Jesse on the 1930 census with the children you list. The Jesse (E. Jesse) listed with David KEEFER (KEEPER in the index) in Larimer Township, Somerset Co. PA, on the 1900 census was born Aug. 1887, so we are talking about 2 different people here. David in 1900 was born Sept. 1863.

As Historian for the Kieffer Family Assn, I try to compile all genealogical info on these families.
I would like to know what date Archie and Martha were married, if possible, and whatever descendant information we can share on the web.
The Archibald in 1900 had a different set of children than Archie in 1910. In 1900 he is born in NY, and in 1910 he says he's born in PA.
I can't find and Archibald in the census of either that matches him before 1900.

Further to Shelley007 notes. In Vancouver there was ( I think he is dead now) a Secord Lampman and I know that he was a distant cousin on my Keefer side. The Secord in his name comes from Laura Secord. Somewhere there there is a Lampman - Secord connection.
There is a Keefer street here and the story I was told was that Harry Keefer was a young man in Vancouver c.1886 and was part of a crew burning up some brush piles on False Creek. They went home for lunch, a wind came up and the town burnt down. Harry Keefer ended his days on Savroy Island where he operated the small store and was postmaster. He was very tall and could normally reach everything in the store with one step, depite this he would say "anything else while I am at this end of the store" - greatly amsing for the locals. He had a daughter Francis who was an artist.

What concerns me the most about the 1900 census is that the birth dates for Wilson and Jesse are the same. Zooming into the actual age of Jesse you see a number 3. Are they two different people or one in the same?

My line of the Keefer family is based off of Jesse Ezra Keefer b. 18 September 1896 in Connellsville, Fayette County, Pennsylvania (this is the date of birth recorded with the county register, but there are other conflicting dates of birth) and d. 01 June 1945 in Coverdale, Bethel Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Jesse was the son of David and Sarah Keefer and he married Rose(alee) Drenner in about 1919 and together they had the following children: Raymond (1920), William (1923), Genevieve (1924), Evelyn (1926), Mary (1928), Robert (1932), and Charles (1934). Jesse served in the US Army as a Pvt. in Co. K 47th Infantry during WWI. He was at one time a steel worker for Weirton Steel Company and also a coal miner for Castle Coal Company. Jesse died of a heart attack on the steps of the local country store after just making his monthly mortgage/rental payment; he is buried at Chartiers Cemetery in Carnegie, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.

I think the William and Rebecca you mention were my great-great gransparents. The obit of their son David (who was born on OCtober 28, 1856 in Carroll County, MD) says that they moved to Madison County, OH when David was six. Do you know what William did for living, and whether he served in the Civil War?

This is very helpful information, as I've been unable to track down William's parents. Do you know where Jacob and Catharine and John Thomas are buried?

Thanks!

Rita,
Unfortunately I had one David Keefer who died at the age of one.
My cuzzin said he has a huge Keefer family line, but I'll need some dates before I ask him.
Found Joseph and Jane in 1910 census, still in Slatington Lehigh Co.
Also found Josiah listed in 1930 census as father-in-law. Do you know his parents names because I found something likely in 1860 census. Anyway, search by Joseph too. I think you will be happily surprised.
Eli Keefer's wife is Evaline (Miller). Peter was born in Germany in 1808 and was a wagoner in Co B, 67th Reg OVI. He died in 1901. Eli and his wife are in the 1910 census in Lucas County, Ohio and Eli's birth is abt 1844 OH. Hope this helps someone.

Josiah and Jane Keefer

I am stuck here. I can only find Josiah Keefer on one census and that is in 1880 with his wife Jane, children Charles(b1877), John(b1879) and Ellen(b1875). Mother Maria(b1914) lives with them and she is widowed. Josiah (b1855) has no other information I can find. He was living in Lehigh co Pa, which is where most of my family following is from. On the census they list their parents as from PA...so I don't know why I can't find them on another census.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks but some stuff doesnt match up. The Joseph may possibly be the one, though they had 2 more children. Missing this 1890 census is messing me up.
The 1930 Josiah is not the one on my side. Though he is with a Charles my Charles didn't leave PA or marry a Charlotte. Most of this family has strong ties with the Lehigh area.
I have no idea who exactly Charles's father is because of the missing 1890 census. I understand from 1880 a person who I think is the father then in 1900 he is barely married, so no comparison. I am not having any luck with the other siblings.
So if I assume that he went from Josiah to Joseph and had two more children ok it works. The thing is there is a 15 year gap in between the last child in the 1880 census till the 1910 census. Can't find the 1900 one. The father in law part works if they truly did have 2 more children then I can track him...This is difficult
