I am researching my husband's genealogy - his branch of the Keel/Keele family is: Lillian Rosalie Keel/William Fletcher Keel/Morris Waits (Jack) Keel/ William E. Keel (b1829 KY; d 1902 TX married Sarah Taylor)/most sources report that William E.'s father was John Keel (b1782 TN; d 1840 KY married Millie Gossom). I cannot confirm that and after John, it gets terribly confusing - some sources show his father being James (b1743 England - d 1819 TN) married Mariah Shannon; then Arthur (b1715 England - d 1766 VA) married Sarah Monnote. There so many with the same common name (Arthur, John, James, Richard, etc.) it is difficult to follow a direct line. If anyone out there can help me, it would be much appreciated.
