Deaths
WHITE: Lucy Ellen Keeler passed to the Higher Life, June 1, 1914, age 51 years and 14 days. She was born in Page county, Iowa, May 18, 1863 and came with her parents to Lincoln County, Kansas, in 1875. On Oct. 22, 1884 she was married to G.R. White. To this union were born eight children, five sons and three daughters. Two daughters having preceded her to the great beyond.
The children were all with her at the time of her transition but Herbert who was in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Since early girlhood she has known the true use of her psychic power and has long been in conscious communication with the spirit of life, hence she had no doubt of her immortality. Mrs. White was highly respected. About 250 friends gathered to pay their last respects to her.
Rev. Fred Blanding, of Barnard, preached a splendid sermon on "What is Life!" Mrs. Chas. Swank read the obituary and an appropriate poem entitled "There is no Death."
The husband and five sons served as pall-bearers, and tenderly did they lay her away to her last resting place.
The floral offering was very large and beautiful.
(followed by a short, 2 stanza poem.)
