Hi laura,
Keenan is a notable County Fermanagh (based in the north of Ireland) name. Originally we were scribes/historians to the Fermanagh Kings. As we had a tendancy for the dramatic, we were often used as chief wailers/cryers at funerals hence the word 'keen' which means to wail - probably quite appropriate for an 18 month old child, however hope KEENAN is doing well - hope this was of use to you.
James Keenan, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland
