This is a long shot sorry. While tracing my family tree I came across a large pencil drawing of my German uncle who died in WW2. The picture was very good and obviously the artist was talented. The signature says A.Keil 44 and my mother said it was August Keil, with the picture being drawn in 1944 by a soldier who stayed at her home. This A.Keil also did a pencil drawing of my mother, who was very young at the time, and sent it to his wife. We have no idea what happened to the artist, whether he died in WW2 or if he was known at the time for his drawings? As I said this is a long shot but i would love to know who he was and if the picture of my mother could ever be found?
