Searching for Edward Keiser in Miamisburg, Ohio area, b. 1837 in Schuylkill Co, PA. Here's what we have.
Father, John Keiser (b. 1803 in Berks Co, PA, d. ABT 1870 in Miamisburg, OH), mother, Lydia Fidler/Keiser (b. 1807 in Berks Co, PA, d. 1869 in Miamisburg, OH). They had several children: Caroline, EDWARD, Rebecca, Levi Lee, Mary Ann, William, Abigail, Charles, Jacob, John, George, and Aaron.
Edward appears in the 1850 Census as "Edward", but appears in the 1860 Census as "Emanuel". Given all the vital information of this family on the two records it has been determined that this Edward and Emanuel are the same person. No other records have been found on this Edward after 1860. All indications are that this family remained in the Miamisburg area.
Other records show an Emanuel H. (Hersha) who married Isabelle (?) and had several children. This family resided in the Mansfield, OH area. It does not seem likely this is the same Emanuel (Edward) since this Emanuel had a brother, Benjamin F. These two brothers ran a business (Keiser Bros.) in Mansfield, OH.
There have been no records found that would indicate John and Lydia had a son Benjamin.
