Hello fellow Kellow family researchers of St. Teath and Northampton, Penn.,

I would like to be included in your discussions of the Kellow family who lived in Saint Teath and later moved to Pen Argyl and Ackermanville, Penn. in Northampton County in the early 1850s.

My immediate Kellow family married into the Young (Jung) family and they have also intermarried with the Kern, Fry, Fisher, Honey, Powell, and Glass families, all of Pennsylvania.

I can't answer a lot of your questions, but I am interested in learning more on the Kellow family and how they are all related to each other. Some of you on this list seem to be well acquainted with the family.

The first Kellow I know of to come to Chapman Quarries, Penn. was Joseph Kellow. Shortly thereafter Robert Kellow came there to the quarries also. Can anyone tell me if these two men are related? These two men have always been a puzzle to me. I believe Robert Kellow came from the same area as Joseph, but I have not been able to determine a connection.

In some of my notes is a Moses Kellow, the first two that comes to mind is one stuck in Joseph Kellow’s Bible and a letter in a file in the possession of my great aunt. I don’t know where Moses fits in either. My great aunt who was born shortly before the 1900s knew of him, but thought he was older than she was. She could never remember exactly how he fit in except to tell me that he was a very nice gentleman and good friend of the family.

I would appreciate any of you who might choose to communicate with me on this Kellow family matter.
