My great grandfather August Kelm arrived in New York from Germany in 1881 with his wife, Louise, daughters Amanda, Paulina, Augusta, and son Wilhelm. Son Charles had come over earlier. Son Julius followed in 1882.

City directory finds them in Omaha, Nebraska, during the 1890's. One of the sons must have been married to Ida Bruening, and another son married to Rose - or is that one person, Ida Rose?? Ida later married George Lieburthnecht. Charles and Willie died young.
