Thomas and Mary Kennedy, Ireland
I am trying to trace the family history of:
Thomas Kennedy born c1846 (Ireland)
Mary Kennedy born 1848 (Ireland)
Catherine Kennedy b.1870/1 Birmingham UK(later married to Francis William Clarke of Birmingham UK)
In the 1871 Census, Thomas Kennedy (25yrs) and his family were living at Back of 15, Fox Street, Municiple Parish of St. Peters, Ecclisiastical Parish of St Bartholomew, Birmingham
(NB I cannot find Thomas, Mary and Catherine in future census with exception of Catherine after she married Francis William Clarke)
I believe that c1889, Francis William Clarke married Catherine Kennedy in Birmingham
The 1891 Census shows Francis William Clarke (24yrs)(Metal Button Stamper) (born Walsall, Staffs)
Catherine Clarke (nee Kennedy) 21yrs (born B’ham)
Francis J. Clarke born 1890 (male, 10months)(doesn’t appear in 1901 Census)
In 1891, Francis William Clarke's occupation was no longer a Brown Saddler but now a Metal Button Stamper.
In 1891 Francis Clarke’s family were living at 5 Court, 44, Latimer St., St. Thomas Ward, District 17, Birmingham.
The 1901 Census shows Francis William Clarke 34yrs (born Walsall, Staffs)(Military Button Stamper),
Catherine (nee Kennedy) Clarke 31yrs (born, B’ham)
Catherine 9yrs (born B’ham)
Martha E. 8yrs (born B’ham)
James 3yrs (born B’ham)
Rosannah 12days old (born B’ham)
The family remembers some reference to Wexford in Ireland.
