I am still looking for information about the Kenney family in Clarke or Jackson County, Georgia. My grandfather was Charles Jackson Kenney. His parents were William Alonzo Church Kenney and Amanda Wilson Kenney. They lived in Clarke and Jackson Counties and are buried in Prospect Church Cemetery in Athens, GA. I go there quite a bit, so I am familiar with those burial sites. I am looking for more information, though, because I have very little about this part of my mother's family. Charles married Kate Freeman Fowler, and my mother was one of their nine children. Does anyone have information about the Kenneys in this area -- where they came from, other branches to the family tree, etc? I would appreciate hearing from you if you do.
