Robert Lewis Kercher, 78, of San Diego died Dec. 3. He was born in San Diego and was a welding technician for Convair, Solar Turbines and Amtek. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was a Sheriff ' s Department volunteer.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane; daughters, Sandra Bakies and Susan Blackburne; mother, Violet Grant; sister, Betty La Mora; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Services have been held. Inurnment: Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, Point Loma. Donations: American Cancer Society, 2655 Camino del Rio North, Suite 100, San Diego, CA 92108. Arrangements: Neptune Society.
