Surnames: KERFOOT, CRAIG, STEVENSON, MOORE
I have since learned Harold H. KERFOOT was one of five children of Jay (as nearly as I can read on the 1900 census so it could possibly be "Jas" or James) D. KERFOOT and Mary Elizabeth CRAIG:
Charlie Ray, b. August 1895
Harry, b. 1 May 1897
Harold, b. 1 May 1897
William McKinley, b. March 1900
and another child whose given name is unknown and who died prior to the 1900 census.
Mary was born in Kansas during October 1872, to Irish born parents, Hugh CRAIG and Jane Elizabeth STEVENSON. Jay and Mary divorced between 1900 and 1902 when Mary married William MOORE.
Jay D. KERFOOT was born during September 1863 in Kentucky, according to the 1900 census. I have not been able to locate him or a likely candidate prior to the 1900 census. Does anyone have any ideas?
