James was my Great,Great Grandfather. He actaully was one of the first black and white minstrels. He and his brother would blacken their faces and do a song and dance routine in the Glasgow theaters. He also performed on the stage in Glasgow doing the soft shoe shuffle in clogs.
His daughter Mary was my Gran, she married a Master Baker John Haran
