Its been awhile. I wanted to let you know that I recently found my grandfather John A. Kerins and his brother Charles listed as Kerns in the 1890, 1892 Alton, Illinois Directory that is on the internet. They were both listed as glassblowers but under the last name of Kerns.
I am working with a genealogist in Ireland who thinks she may have found greatgrandfather Humphrey's birthplace in County Kerry. Will keep you posted
