I am looking for any information on Henry Kerley, Sr., and his parents. I know his father was William. This is the info i have on Henry--- he was born in 1750 in Henrico of Albemarle Co. VA, and died 1836 in Wayneboro, Wayne Co., Tennessee He was married to Sarah Garrett in 1779. He is of scotch Irish decent. He moved from Virginia to Surry Co. N.C, that is where he married Sarah Garrett. Their children were: Daniel Kerley b. june 27, 178, Albemarle Co.,VA; d. December 25, 1884, Macon County on his farm: married Elizabeth J. Turnbull. William Kerley, Sr., b. july 13, 1783 d. june 30, 1865 married Janie Carr, October 15, 1807. Levinah Kerley b. April 12, 1785. James Kerley b. March 26, 1787, married Elizabeth Williams. Lewis Kerley b. December 8,1788 and d. 1864 in Johnson County, Illinois. Elizabeth Kerley b. August 15, 1791 d. aft. 1854, Trousdale County, Tennessee, married William Roper. Benjamin Kerley, b. December 16, 1793, d. May 12, 1803, Burke Co., North Carolina. John Kerley, b. April 16, 1796, married Elizabeth King. Henry Kerley,Jr. b. December 5, 1798. Aaron Kerley b. April 17, 1800, d. March 12,1887; married Rebecca Brank Alexander.
