From John Kerley, researcher in England
will of john kerley 1581 donhead st mary wiltshire. mentions 2 sons. john & edmond. it seems that this edmond is the 1 that sailed with william in 1638. is he a cousin ? i think there is a family tie with william of ashmore as he had land in donhead. the more kerley's we find it seems to make work more frustrating but it should get easier. this is the only edmond kerley found in all of my research so it has to be the 1.
This helps to prove the theory that William of the Confidence is NOT the first Kerley in America -- his uncle, William, b. 1602 and father of Mary b 1627, Capt. Henry b. 1632 and William, Jr. b 1633 are the original core family. William of the "Confidence" b. 1621 according to his testimony
