Renee, I have begun to believe that no one is related to my Kerrs. My g-g-g-g-grandfather is one(of obviously many) James kerr who came to Tuscarora Valley Lack TWp. Franklin/ Mifflin Co. ;or whatever, PA abt. 1771 from Londonderry Ireland. Either the port that ship sailed from or he lived in Londonderry. His wife is unknown to me( must have been ultimate male chauvenists because rarely mention women in life accounts). This James may have had brother,John-one is mentioned living next to him at Milford/Bealtown,Pa 1774. There is indication that he may have been a physician(need more information to verify). I have documentation on only one child,James Kerr,b.1781 at what is now Franklin Co.,PA(Franklin Co. was Cumberland Co. in 1781-wasn't established until 1784) This James Kerr married Elizabeth Arbuckle, b. about 1782, and daughter of william Arbuckle. The arbuckles played part in Revolution and were well established in Tuscarora Valley prior to 1750. Anyway, James and Elizabeth went to 1, Coshocton Oh with Hill and Arbuckle cousins etc. and 2 yrs later bought property in Knox Co.,Oh; along with same said relatives. When all these children reached majority-they moved on. Robert Kerr, who was born,1807 in Mifflin Co. was the first to go to Marion co. with Hill uncle and cousins-1828. they are counted as among first families of Marion co. robert's father remarried when elizabeth died. So robert helped his younger brothers, Johnson and James. Robert's brother, Alexander stayed in Knox and Alexander had sons who went to Allen co. Some then ended up in Crawford and Wyandote co.'s.
