I am trying to find info on my 3rd grgrandfather, WILLIAM KERSHNER, of Ottumwa, IA.

He the son of SOLOMON and JULIA (WINTERMUTE) KERSHNER, of Darke County, OH. He was born after they moved from Ohio.

William KERSHNER married MARY ATWOOD ( who was half Sioux on her mother's side) and had 2 daughters, Nellie Mae KERSHNER, who married Fred Wesley BLACK, (they both died in Ottumwa, IA, and are buried in the Shaul Cemetery there), and Elsie KERSHNER, married to Leonard WILCOX, also buried at the Shaul Cemetery in Ottumwa, IA.

I'm looking for anyone that can help me verify Solomon and Julia Kershner's family after they settled in Iowa, as I have their lines before then. Especially looking for other decendants, and anyone who may know exactly WHERE and WHEN William KERSHNER was born, as there is some problem with his birthdate. Photos of his gravestone show his birthday as being in 1859, while the census from 1900 and 1910 show him as being born in either 1861 or 62.
