Molly Keziah Info?

Does anyone have any info on a Molly Keziah? Possibly born in Waxhaw and died in Monroe, NC? She married a John Gordon of Union County North Carolina. (Molly Keziah Gordon) She was my Great Grandmother and I have no information on her. She had long passed before I was born.

MY UNCLES, FOY WATSON AND EDDIE WATSON HAVE DONE RESEARCH INTO THE NAME SINCE MY MOTHER'S GREAT GRANDMOTHER WAS BETTY KEZIAH (NOT SURE LAST NAME IS CORRECTLY SPELLED). BETTY KEZIAH WAS THE MOTHER OF HATTIE (I BELIEVE) HARRIS OF GASTON COUNTY, OBVIUSLY NEXT DOOR TO MECK. CO. MY UNCLE FOY WAS THE FIRE CHIEF IN GASTONIA FOR AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER AND I AM SURE IF YOU DID A LITTLE POKING AROUND YOU MAY BE ABLE TO FIND HIM WITH LITTLE TROUBLE. HE'S A BIG SHOT WITH THE FIREMEN AROUND THOSE PARTS AND A DAMN FINE MAN OF THE UPMOST HONOR AND INTEGRITY, AS IS MY UNCLE EDDIE WATSON. THEY WERE PLACED IN AN ORPHANAGE WITH MY MOTHER AND HER SISTERS RUBY AND BETTY (THE FORMER BETTY ARD, WIFE OF THE LATE FREE WILL BAPTIST MINISTER KEMERY ARD, BOTH NOW DECEASED). HOW MUCH INFO THEY HAVE ON THE KEZIAH NAME IS UNKOWN TO ME, HOWEVER THEY DID FIND A LINK ON THE WATSON SIDE OF THINGS TO FAMED GUITAR PLAYER ARTHEL "DOC" WATSON. I BELIEVE HE AND MY MOTHER AND HER SIBLINGS SHARE A GREAT, GREAT GRANDFATHER, THOMAS WATSON.

I AM CURRENTLY A RESIDENT OF A TOWN OUTSIDE OAKLAND, CA CALLED EL SOBRANTE AND DO NOT SEE MY UNCLES AS MUCH AS I'D LIKE BUT THEY ARE TWO OF THE MOST OUTSTANDING MEN THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN. OTHER THAN MY OWN FATHER, I CANNOT THINK OF MEN I HOLD IN HIGHER REGARD. TRULY MEN OF HIGH CHARACTER AND MORALS, TESTED BY GOD AND PROVEN TO BE WORTHY OF WORSHIPING HIM, ALTHOUGH THEY, LIKE THE REST OF MAN, FALL SHORT OF THE GLORY OF THE LORD, ITS THE WAY WE ARE MADE. BUT IF YOU NEED SOME INFORMATION AND THEY HAVE IT, I SEE NO REASON THEY WOULDN'T SHARE IT WITH YOU.

WHEN I DID THE FIRST POST I JUST FOUND OUT MY MOMS FATHER IS CHARLES.SHE HAD 1 BROTHER CLYDE ..MINNIE MARRIED ERNIE PRESSLEY &HAD 5 CHILDREN. Seeking information on Keziah Wilson, b 1803. Census records state both NC/SC. Believe she could have been from the Waxhaw NC area. Previously Anson County now Union County NC. Theory is that her first name "Keziah" may have been a maternal surname. There were both Keziah and Wilson families in the area.

Keziah is my gr gr gr grandmother. Married Herbert C. Collins and moved to Spartanburg County SC sometime prior to 1825. They had 10 children: Memory, Martin S., Lorenzo, Rosana, William Spencer, Mary, Eliza, Mima, William Pinckney, and Margaret.

Keziah died August 18, 1880, Spartanburg County SC. Burial place unknown. Herbert died August 1882 also in Spartanburg SC, burial location unknown.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Danny, I hope this message reaches you. I am trying to gather info on my gr gr gr grandmother - Keziah Wilson b abt 1803 in NC/SC area. Maybe the Waxhaw, Union/Anson County, North Carolina area. We believe her first name may have actually been a maternal surname - possibly named after her Mother or Grandmother's family. Have any of your Keziah women married a Wilson?

Keziah m. Herbert C. Collins, also b abt 1802 in the NC/SC area. They moved to Spartanburg County, SC sometime before 1825. They had 10 children: Memory, Martin S., Lorenzo, Rosana, William Spencer, Mary, Eliza, Mima, William Pinckney, and Margaret.

Keziah died August 18, 1880. We do not know where she or Herbert are buried. I have been trying to locate either set of parents for several years. Many of their children's families are well documented through present day. However, we are attempting to move back another generation.

Herbert lived with his son William Pinckney, my gr gr grandfather, in Spartanburg County SC until his death in 1882.

I recently discovered a cemetery in Waxhaw, NC which has both Keziah and Wilson tombstones.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

I have a Lula Keziah living at 302 E Vance in Charlotte nc in 1921. She was a seamstres, still unmarried. Also Union county was not formed until 1842 so you may try looking in Anson or Mecklenburg County before that.

The only children I have for them are:
Martha Helms b. 1877 and
Ezekiel Helms b. 1879.
I did not note the information, however it must have been the 1880 census.
They were married February 11, 1874/1875 Union Co., NC.

My Grandfather is Charles Keziah.

He had a brother named John Keziah.

He,John,however, was not born in 1803.
I ll ask my Grandma who their father was
and get back in touch.

My Grandfather moved to South Carolina from
North Carolina.

His parents died young, therefore he lived
with a family in NC until he was older.
