This is the second time I see someone from the Corey family who is interested in tracing back the line of the family. Guess what? I am in the process of conducting a research of the same nature. However, the Khouri/y/El-Kh../Al-Khouri/Kouri is one of the largest families in the Fertile Crescent. This is the reason I am focusing, for the time being on the Khouri from the village of Saghbine, my hometown, in Western Beqaa, Lebanon. The great grandfathers of this family came from Maaloula, Syria and settled in Zahle, Lebanon in the early years of the 17th century. The original surname was Qaddah (Arabic for blacksmith, relative to their profession back then). Many grandchildren and great grandchildren migrated to the States through Ellis Island Port and settled mainly in NY, Mass., and Ohio. If you are interested in exchanging information on this, please feel free to contact me via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
All the best.
