HARTFORD, OHIO – Virginia Rose Bratek, 88, previously of 8393 Wood St., Orangeville, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at 1:05 a.m. at Concord Care Center of Hartford, OH.
Virginia was born in Sharon, Pa., on Nov. 10, 1923, to the late Warren Earl and Rosey Ada (Gilliland) Kidd.
She enjoyed camping, traveling, wintering in Florida, and crafts.
She was married to Joseph Bratek on Sept. 23, 1946, and he preceded her in death on June 3, 2001.
Virginia is survived by three daughters, Ronda Radcliffe of Orangeville, Patricia Bratek and Fred Rhodes of Sharpsville, Pa., and Deborah Barnes and her husband, David, of North Benton; two sons, Joseph Bratek and his wife, Yvonne of Campbell, Ohio and Douglas Bratek and his wife, Cynthia of Cortland, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William D. Kidd and Delbert H. Kidd; a granddaughter, Holly Barnes; a stepmother, Margaret Giblon; a stepbrother, Charles Giblon; and a son-in-law, William W. Radcliffe.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, from 4 to 7 p.m. and Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Osborne-Williams Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 73-75 Columbia Ave., Greenville, Pa.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, with the Rev. John Benigas of the Orangeville United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial with committal prayers will follow the service at Clarksville Citizens Cemetery, Clark, Pa.
