Hi again,

I checked the SSDI on-line and it looks like your father was born in 1941. That means your grandfather could have been born in the 1920's or 1920's.

Howard KIDDER
Birth Date: 4 Jul 1941
Death Date: Jan 1972
Social Security Number: 445-38-0484
State or Territory Where Number Was Issued: Oklahoma

I checked again and this could be your grandfather:

Stanley KIDDER
Birth Date: 14 Aug 1914
Death Date: May 1957
Social Security Number: 447-10-5644
State or Territory Where Number Was Issued: Oklahoma

There is a Stanley and Mary KIDDER in Oregon in 1920, and they have 2 young children, including a young son, Stanley. The father had come from Iowa. I wonder if this family moved around since the mid-1800's. I don't see an occupation for the father, but the couple living beside them worked for the County Treasurer's office.

KIDDER, STANLEY (1920 U.S. Census)
OREGON , DOUGLAS, ROSEBURG; UMPQUA PCT
Age: 49, Male, Race: WHITE, Born: IA
Series: T625 Roll: 1494 Page: 235
