I am researching Mary Ann KIDDER who was born 30 December 1825 in Hebron, Grafton, NH. There seems to be some confusion on my part and I'm hoping someone out there can help straighten it out.

In "A Genealogy of the Kidder Family: Descendants of Ensign James Kidder" by Morgan Hewitt STAFFORD, 1941, I find the following information:

John KIDDER, 1655/6-1731, is father to a set of twins, Joseph and Benjamin born Aug 1697.

Joseph's descent I am most interested in is as follows: Noah (1729/30)marries Eunice LYON > Joseph (1764-1824) marries Mercy FOX > Reuben (Apr 1798-Aug 1884) marries Hannah/Anna DAVIS in 1819 and then to Louise GRISWOLD in 1870. Reuben leaves 2 sons by his first marriage.

Benjamin's descent I am most interested in is as follows: John (1736-1828) marries Jane LYNN > James (1771-1833) marries Mary BLAKE > Reuben (Aug 1798-Apr 1875) marries Sarah "Sally" POWELL in 1823 and then to Rhoda COLLIER in 1861. Reuben and Sarah have a daughter, Mary Ann, who is born 30 Dec 1825 and is reported in this work having married Alexander McMURPHY. A serach for their marriage shows it was on 11 Nov 1852 but she dies 14 Feb 1852 according to this work, not quite possible.

Here is the confusion.... I have a marriage record for a Mary Ann KIDDER to a Noah MARSTON in Groton, Grafton, NH on 18 Nov 1839.

Can someone help with this? Does anyone know where this Mary Ann fits into the KIDDER family because I thought I had it figured out, but according to the information above, I seem to have gotten the two Reubens meshed together and thus have Mary Ann's lineage wrong.
